The role you’ll contribute:

Provide quality patient care within the medical imaging department. Perform high-quality images and exams while maintaining sensitivity to patient needs. Follow ACR practice guidelines and safety standards for MRI. Demonstrate leadership abilities and serve as a role model for other technologists. Act as a clinical resource to unit personnel and ensure current standards of practice are maintained.

• Perform magnetic resonance scans to obtain high-quality images, following safe MRI practices and radiation safety rules to minimize exposure (ALARA).
• Produce complete, accurate, and timely images.
• Prepare patients for exams, providing information and instructions, and responding to their physical and emotional needs.
• Assist and position patients during exams.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

Required qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Registered Technologist in Radiology and Magnetic Resonance Imaging - R.T. (R) and/or (MR) (ARRT)
• MR ARDMS or ARRT - Magnetic Resonance certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• Licensed Radiology Technologist in the state of employment

Preferred qualifications:

• 1+ years of imaging experience (strongly preferred)
