Job summary

Piedmont Columbus Midtown is seeking a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist to perform diagnostic MRI procedures under the supervision of a Radiologist.

Responsibilities include patient preparation across all ages, adherence to safety standards, and providing high-quality imaging to support accurate diagnoses; PRN position with flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program.
• None; 6 months as an MRI Technologist preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic MRI examinations under the direct guidance of the Radiologist.
• Provide patient care to all ages, including neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics.
• Follow all prescribed standards and safety policies.

Job description

RESPONSIBLE FOR:

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technologists utilize the resonant frequency properties of atoms within a magnetic field to image anatomic and/or physiologic conditions of the body to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disease. MR technologists perform diagnostic magnetic resonance examinations in accordance with all prescribed standards under the direct guidance of the supervising Radiologist. MR Technologists provide patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics.

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED

Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program.

6 months as an MRI Technologists preferred.

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW

Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology in Radiography (R).
