Qualifikationen

• MINIMUM EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited school of MRI.
• MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 6 months in Magnetic Resonance Imaging with supervised clinical experience.
• REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: ARRT in Radiology or ARMRIT registry eligible; MR Technologist registration within one year; Texas license if ARRT in ionizing radiation.
• REQUIRED COURSES/COMPLETIONS: Active Basic Life Support (BLS) on hire; BLS within 60 days.

Aufgaben

• Assures room is ready: equipment operable and supplies in place before patient enters.
• Greets patients, explains procedures, and puts them at ease.
• Monitors patient well‑being during scan and addresses discomfort.
• Operates MRI system, computer, camera and related components.
• Sends studies to reading stations; archives to PACS/DICOM as applicable.
• Maintains safety and quality, and protects patient confidentiality per HIPAA.
• Coordinates with referring physicians and supports performance improvement activities.
