Job summary

Job Information: New to Virtua hires are eligible for sign on bonus of $500 * One-year commitment * Summary: Performs MRI procedures in accordance with approved techniques and standards. Operates MRI equipment in a safe and responsible manner, following appropriate safety guidelines.

Position Responsibilities:

• Consistently performs high quality MRI studies according to protocols established by the Radiologists.
• Films all MRI exams utilizing proper window and level.
• Follows protocol for room set‑up, obtains patient assessment form and injection procedures.
• Demonstrates competence to perform venipuncture and follows established protocols for administering contrast medium.
• Verify order and patient identification before performing MRI exam.
• Screen all patients for medical appropriateness of MRI procedure as well as for potential projectiles before entrance into the exam room.
• Patient assessment form must be completed and validated before patient enters MRI room.
• Provide superior customer service to patients and personnel. Must be able to effectively communicate with all customers; display high degree of tact and diplomacy and maintain supportive relationships.
• Follows appropriate safety guidelines during operation of MRI equipment. Adheres to Virtua policies and procedures.

Position Qualifications Required / Experience Required:

Previous MRI experience preferred. Required Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology Training/Certifications/Licensure: Certification as either American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registered plus six (6) months supervised experience in MR scanning, OR Associate’s/bachelor’s degree in allied health field plus other imaging modality certification plus six (6) months supervised MR scanning. MRI board certification preferred CPR certification required

Hourly Rate: $53.00
