Job summary

Piedmont Augusta Hospital is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform diagnostic MRI examinations and provide patient care across all age groups under the supervision of a Radiologist.

The position requires graduation from an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited training, ARRT Radiography registration, and BLS certification; 6 months MRI experience preferred but not required. Night shifts with on-site schedule and benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program.
• No experience required; 6 months MRI experience preferred.
• Registered by ARRT in Radiography (R) per licensing.
• BLS certification is an additional qualification.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic MRI examinations under the direct supervision of the Radiologist.
• Provide patient care across age groups including neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.

Sign-On Bonus Available. This position is four 10-hour shifts overnight Monday - Thursday 9 pm - 7 am. Night shift differentials offered.

Responsibilities

• Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technologists utilize the resonant frequency properties of atoms within a magnetic field to image anatomic and/or physiologic conditions of the body to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disease. MR technologists perform diagnostic magnetic resonance examinations in accordance with all prescribed standards under the direct guidance of the supervising Radiologist.
• MR Technologists provide patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics.

Qualifications

• MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED: Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program.
• MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: None. 6 months as an MRI Technologists preferred.
• MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW: Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology in Radiography (R).
• ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: BLS certified.
