Job summary

Methodist Hospital Stone Oak is seeking an MRI Technologist (PRN) to support imaging services and leadership within the department. The role focuses on supervising imaging staff, maintaining equipment readiness, and ensuring efficient patient flow in a fast-paced environment.

The candidate should graduate from an Accredited MRI program, have ARRT MR or equivalent certification, and hold Texas licensure with BLS. Prior leadership experience is preferred and patient care excellence is emphasized.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of Accredited School of MRI
• Associates of Science or Higher preferred but not required
• Experience: Four years MRI experience
• Training and competencies as defined by service line, facility and department/unit
• Preferred: One year of leadership/supervisory or management experience

Responsibilities

• Supervises assigned personnel and staffing of the imaging section(s). Evaluates performance and motivates employees.
• Demonstrates knowledge and proficiency in MRI operation, positioning and related technical factors.
• Maintain inventory and service records; coordinate with vendors for uptime and maintenance.
• Ensure efficient workflow and timely patient start times; manage room turnaround and workload changes.
• Supervises interviewing, allocation, orientation, training, and staff development; evaluate performance.
• Independently perform assignments and collaborate with supervisors, coworkers, patients, vendors and the public.
