Job summary

• Verify order and patient identification before performing MRI exam.
• Screen all patients for medical appropriateness of MRI procedure as well as for potential projectiles before entrance into the exam room.
• Patient assessment form must be completed and validated before patient enters MRI room.
• Provide superior customer service to patients and personnel.
• Must be able to effectively communicate with all customers; display high degree of tact and diplomacy and maintain supportive relationships.
• Follows appropriate safety guidelines during operation of MRI equipment.
• Adheres to Virtua policies and procedures.

Position Qualifications Required / Experience Required

Previous MRI experience preferred.

Required Education

Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology

Training/Certifications/Licensure

Certification as either

• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registered plus six (6) months supervised experience in MR scanning, OR
• Associate’s/bachelor’s degree in allied health field plus other imaging modality certification plus six (6) months supervised MR scanning, OR
• ARMRIT or CAMRT as a Registered MR Technologist – for employees in the role prior to 8/30/26

MRI board certification preferred

CPR certification required

Salary:

$40.62 - $63.16 Hourly
