POSITION SUMMARY:
Performs duties directly involved with producing high quality Magnetic Resonance Images; Must perform quality control checks daily. Selects proper coils for the various procedures requested; Calls for repairs and reports to supervisor when M.R.I. unit is not working properly; Properly screens all patients prior to procedure and ensures there are no contraindications; Evaluates all orders, verifies them with radiologist if needed, and ensures correct exam is performed. Properly screens all patients to ensure there are no contraindications for IV contrast. Responsible for interacting with hospital staff and/or nursing departments regarding patient care, concerns, and conflicts by identifying and assisting in the resolutions. Responsible and accountable for maintaining performance skills. Routinely works weekends, holidays, overtime, and/or on an on-call/call-back status, when needed.
