Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital in Atlanta, GA is looking for an MRI Technologist to join our Radiology team. You will perform MRI procedures across all age groups, position patients, select the correct protocol, and operate imaging equipment with precision.

We require ARRT/ARDMS certification and BCLS, a Radiologic Technology education, and a commitment to patient education and quality care. No experience is required, though 6 months as MRI tech is preferred; competitive benefits are included.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program.
  • No experience required; 6 months as MRI Technologist preferred.
  • ARRT/ARDMS radiographer registration and BCLS required upon hire.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates competence in performing MRI procedures on patients of all ages and positions patient.
  • Maintains competencies in non-scanner related components.
  • Adheres to imaging protocols and follows ACR guidelines.
  • Performs quality control procedures for imaging quality.
  • Provides age-appropriate patient education and communication.
  • Position, protocol selection, and equipment use for radiologic exams across age groups.

What you will do
  • Demonstrates competence and proficiency in performing all MRI procedures on patients of all age groups. Positions patient, selects the correct protocol, and utilizes all required equipment.
  • Maintains competencies in all non-scanner related components.
  • Accurately follows all established imaging protocols for exam being performed.
  • Performs quality control procedures in accordance with the ACR guidelines.
  • Provides quality age specific care in accordance with prescribed standards and practices.
  • Provides patient education and communications in accordance with prescribed standards.
  • Must be competent and proficient to position, select correct protocol and utilize imaging equipment on patients of all age groups for radiological exams, when requested.

Education
  • Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program Required
Work Experience
  • No experience required
  • 6 months as an MRI Technologist Preferred
Licenses and Certifications
  • (R) ARDMS or ARRT - Radiographer Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology in Radiography (R) Upon Hire Required and
  • BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required
