Job summary

RAYUS Radiology is seeking a Technologist's Assistant to support technologists in a fast-paced imaging environment. The role focuses on scheduling management, patient greeting and preparation, and room readiness to ensure smooth workflow and on-time patient visits.

Ideal candidates may be enrolled in a Radiologic Technologist program or possess a High School diploma, with a commitment to learning and assisting across modalities.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age.
• Preferred: High School diploma, or equivalent.
• Currently enrolled in a Radiologic Technologist program.

Responsibilities

• Assist technologists in scheduling and patient flow to keep appointments on time.
• Greet and escort patients, explain procedures and prep rooms.
• Prepare patient jackets and arrange films for proper jacket filing.
• Assist with room setup between patients, coil placement and table preparation.
• Prepare next patient to optimize scheduling and maintain throughput.
• Restores and networks previous exams for next day patients.

RAYUS Radiology is looking for a Technologists Assistantto join our team. We are challenging the status quo by shining light on radiology and making it a critical first step in diagnosis and proper treatment. Come join us and shine brighter together! As a Technologists Assistant, you willberesponsible for assisting/supporting the Technologists in a variety of ways (based on need), allowing the Technologists patient schedules to remain on time. This role is also responsible for ensuring that the scanning area runs smoothly, is maintained and kept organized.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

(70%) Technologist Assistance

1. Monitors schedules for all modalities, arthrograms, and image scans, adjusting as necessary and keeping technologists informed of changes.
2. Greets and escorts patients to changing room; briefly explains procedure
3. Prepares patient jackets and compiles films putting them together in appropriate jacket according to date and number
4. Assists technologists in room set up between patients, including putting proper coil on table, putting previous coil away and changing table sheet
5. Prepares the next patient for scanning before the current patient completes their procedure to optimize scheduling.
6. Restores and networks all previous exams for next day's returning patients

(20%) Cleaning & Organization

1. Stocks and cleans work and control areas and MRI room(s)
2. Ensures that all patient imaging areas are stocked and organized in a neat and tidy manner
3. Cleans and stocks patient prep room and patient restroom
4. Stocks linen and empties laundry at the end of the night
5. Organizes and cleans supply closet and computer rooms
6. Organizes radiologist reading area after radiologist has left for the day
7. Checks with technologists of all modalities, Medical Records and/or Front Office team members to assist with any additional duties as needed
