Tampa General Hospital is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist 3 responsible for performing routine and complex MRI examinations independently. This role supports patient safety and imaging quality while mentoring less experienced team members and students.
The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of MRI safety and protocols, operate MRI equipment effectively, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Interested applicants should have three years of experience in an MRI diagnostic imaging department and relevant certifications.
The MRI Technologist 3 is responsible for performing a full range of routine and complex magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) examinations independently and is a resource for team members and students. The position supports diagnosis and treatment by ensuring patient safety, imaging quality, and efficient throughput. The MRI Technologist 3 has a strong foundational competency in MRI safety, patient screening, positioning, coil selection, and execution of established imaging protocols. The MRI Technologist 3 is able to mentor less experienced team members and students in MRI principles and protocols, and provide expert knowledge to assist with developing and implementing policies and protocols specific to MRI. The MRI Technologist 3 may assist other imaging modalities and/or provide oncall coverage as assigned. Tampa General Hospital.
