Tampa General Hospital is seeking an MRI Technologist 3 responsible for independently performing MRI examinations while ensuring patient safety and image quality. This role involves mentoring less experienced staff and maintaining compliance with protocols.
Ideal candidates will have a foundational competency in MRI practices and possess ARRT-Radiographer certification. The position requires effective communication for patient preparation and may include on-call duties.
The MRI Technologist 3 is responsible for performing a full range of routine and complex magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) examinations independently and is a resource for team members and students. The position supports diagnosis and treatment by ensuring patient safety, imaging quality, and efficient throughput. The MRI Technologist 3 has a strong foundational competency in MRI safety, patient screening, positioning, coil selection, and execution of established imaging protocols. The MRI Technologist 3 is able to mentor less experienced team members and students in MRI principles and protocols, and provide expert knowledge to assist with developing and implementing policies and protocols specific to MRI. The MRI Technologist 3 may assist other imaging modalities and/or provide oncall coverage as assigned. Tampa General Hospital.
