Job summary

Ardent Health Services in Tyler, Texas is seeking a PRN MRI Technologist to perform MRI procedures to aid diagnosis and patient care. You will work under the Imaging Department Director, the MRI supervisor, and radiologists, with overtime and on-call duties as required.

This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of an AMA-approved radiologic technology program, and BLS within 14 days of hire. ARRT MRI registry within 18 months of hire is expected.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an AMA school of radiologic technology.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Achieve ARRT registry in MRI within 18 months of hire.
• Knowledge and ability to operate all equipment and perform all MRI procedures as normally required in these areas.

Responsibilities

• Performs MRI procedures in order to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of disease.
• Functions under the direction of the Imaging Department Director (or designee), the MRI supervisor and in cooperation with the radiologists. This position is subject to overtime and call back as required by the hospital.
