Job summary

BSA Hospital in Amarillo, TX is seeking an evening shift, PRN Open Air MRI Technician. The MRI Technologist performs MRI procedures under a radiologist’s supervision, ensuring patient safety and comfort while maintaining accurate records and following safety protocols.

This role requires ARRT(R) certification, MRT license in Texas, and BLS within 14 days of hire. Preferred candidates have 1–2 years of MRI experience and familiarity with PACS, RIS, and EMR systems.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or MRI program.
• ARRT (R) certification.
• MRT License from the Texas Medical Board.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Preferred: 1-2 years of MRI experience.
• Familiarity with PACS, RIS, and EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI procedures under radiologist supervision to assist in diagnosis.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during MRI exams.
• Maintain accurate records and follow MRI safety protocols.

Responsibilities

The MRI Technologist performs magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures under the supervision of a radiologist to assist in the diagnosis of disease and injury. This position ensures patient safety and comfort, maintains accurate records, and complies with all safety protocols, including those specific to the MRI environment.
