Job summary

A healthcare organization is seeking a full-time Physician Surgical Hospital MRI Technician for the day shift in Amarillo, TX. The role focuses on performing MRI procedures, maintaining patient safety, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Ideal candidates will have education from an accredited program, ARRT certification, MRT License, and BLS certification. Previous MRI experience and familiarity with PACS, RIS, and EMR systems are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or MRI program.
• ARRT (R) certification is required.
• MRT License from the Texas Medical Board is necessary.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI procedures under the supervision of a radiologist.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures.
• Maintain accurate records and comply with MRI safety protocols.

• Physicians Surgical Hospitals includes two surgical centers - Panhandle Surgical Hospital and Quail Creek Surgical Hospital, and one physical therapy center - Quail Creek Physical Therapy - and a state‑of‑the‑art diagnostic imaging center, Advanced Imaging Center of Amarillo.

Responsibilities

The MRI Technologist performs magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures under the supervision of a radiologist to assist in the diagnosis of disease and injury. This position ensures patient safety and comfort, maintains accurate records, and complies with all safety protocols, including those specific to the MRI environment.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or MRI program.
• ARRT (R) certification.
• MRT License from the Texas Medical Board.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• 1-2 years of MRI Experience.
• Familiarity with PACS, RIS, and EMR systems.
