Job summary

UChicago Medicine AdventHealth in Glendale Heights, IL is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform high-quality MRI examinations, ensuring patient safety and comfort. You will work with radiologists to optimize imaging quality and contribute to a patient-centered experience.

Requirements include ARRT MR/RT credentials, ability to educate patients, and strong teamwork. This role demands attention to safety, protocol adherence, and ongoing learning in a dynamic clinical setting.

Qualifications

• ARRT registration in Radiologic Technology or MR required/strongly preferred.
• Experience with MRI procedures and contrast media handling.
• Knowledge of radiation safety and ALARA principles.
• Familiarity with PACS and RIS systems and ability to learn radiology software.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality MRI examinations per physician orders and protocols.
• Educate patients and families about MRI procedures and safety.
• Ensure patient comfort, safety, and consent throughout exams.
• Collaborate with radiologists and staff to maintain workflow and coverage.
• Maintain equipment, perform QC, and troubleshoot issues as needed.
• Screen for safety, manage on-call duties, and participate in training.
