Job summary

Nationwide Children’s Hospital is seeking a part-time MR safety support role working approximately 20 hours per week over 3–4 days. Shifts run 12:00 pm to 11:00 pm and focus on MRI safety, screening for contraindications, and monitoring equipment to ensure patient and staff safety during MRI procedures.

Responsibilities include enforcing controlled access to the magnet zones, performing ferrous object screening, and complying with radiology safety policies and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school graduate required.
• Current CPR certification preferred.
• Healthcare exposure/education in progress preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains security at entrance to MRI magnet area.
• Screens for ferrous objects and ensures zones are restricted.
• Uses metal detection devices as needed to detect ferrous items.
• Supports MR safety for patients and staff during procedures.
• Adheres to Radiation, MR, and general safety policies and regulatory guidelines.
