Gallagher & Mohan seeks an experienced MRI Accountant to manage full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of properties using MRI Software. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in real estate or property management, with MRI GL Module mandatory and strong GAAP knowledge.

The role requires excel mastery, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with property and asset managers to support budgeting, forecasting, and audit processes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in real estate or property management.
• MRI Software experience, especially the GL Module, is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal control principles.
• Excellent communication and ability to work both independently and with teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of properties using MRI Software.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements under GAAP.
• Perform monthly close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Ensure accuracy of general ledger entries and perform variance analysis.
• Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation within MRI.
• Collaborate with property managers and asset managers to support operations.
• Assist with annual budget preparation and forecasting.
• Prepare audit schedules and support external audits.
