Job summary

Mission Regional Medical Center in Mission, TX is seeking a Radiologic Technologist I to perform diagnostic MRI procedures. The role involves preparing patients, operating MRI scanners, and ensuring high-quality images for diagnostic use.

Responsibilities include patient screening, safety adherence, monitoring during scans, contrast administration, and QA checks to maintain optimal MRI performance. The ideal candidate has ARRT-R and state licensing.

Qualifications

• Licensure and fluoroscopy permit as required by State.
• ARRT-R is required.
• Must be familiar with State and Federal regulations.
• Current BCLS (AHA).
• At least one year of experience as a Radiology Technologist preferred.
• Proficient computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for MRI scans by explaining the procedure, addressing concerns and screening for contraindications.
• Operate MRI scanners to acquire high-resolution images and position patients correctly.
• Adhere to strict safety protocols to protect patients from MRI hazards.
• During MRI, monitor vital signs and adjust imaging parameters to obtain desired images.
• Administer contrast agents intravenously and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Perform routine quality assurance checks on MRI equipment.
