Job summary

UCI Health is seeking an MRI Supervisor to manage daily MRI operations at the Irvine campus. You will supervise MRI technologists, coordinate staffing, and ensure efficient workflows while maintaining safety and accreditation standards.

The role requires ARRT (R) certification, 3–5 years MRI experience in an acute care setting, and the ability to work on-call and weekends. Collaboration with radiologists and leadership is essential to deliver high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Verbal and written English communication to explain MRI concepts and coordinate with clinicians.
• Must hold ARRT (R) certification or be eligible.
• ARRT license/certification within six months from date of hire.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related area.
• Minimum 3–5 years of MRI experience in an adult acute care facility.
• Ability to participate in on-call rotation and weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day inpatient and outpatient MRI operations.
• supervise MRI technologists, staffing, and scheduling.
• Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, training, and competency evaluation.
• Maintain regulatory, safety, and accreditation standards; manage service issues.
• Liaise with radiologists, physicians, and other departments to ensure service quality.
