Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist (DRT) to perform MRI and MRA exams across multiple body areas with/without contrast. The role requires ARRT certification and completion of a 24-month radiologic technology program.

Applicants must meet federal requirements; advanced MR certification is preferred for independent MRI duties, and adherence to safety, post-procedural care, and patient assessment is essential.

Qualifications

• Completion of a full-time training course of at least 24 months in duration in a post-high school diagnostic radiologic technology program, evidenced by a certificate or an associate degree, accredited by JRCERT or other DOE-recognized accrediting bodies.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI and MRA exams of the head, neck, spine, chest, extremities, and body with/without contrast as indicated.
• Operate safely in a magnetic environment with knowledge of coils, contrast media, and PACS.
