Job summary

Advocate Health in Libertyville, IL seeks an experienced MRI Technologist Supervisor to lead the radiology team, ensuring safety, accuracy, and patient comfort. You will oversee scheduling, training, and quality assurance while coordinating with nursing units and other departments for complex exams.

The role requires 3-4 years MRI tech experience and 2-3 years supervisory experience, with an approved Radiologic Technology program. On-site work with on-call responsibilities is expected.

Qualifications

• 3-4 years MRI tech experience.
• 2-3 years supervisory experience preferred.
• Graduate of approved Radiologic Technology program.
• Knowledge of MRI cross-sectional anatomy and physics.
• Familiar with MR equipment.
• Associates Degree in Health Science

Responsibilities

• Monitor technical competence of staff.
• Respond to patient/physician complaints and resolve issues quickly.
• Schedule technical staff - approve vacation and time off and adjust schedule for call off or emergencies.
• Critique students ability to work and adjust to departments.
• Issue holiday schedules for technical staff.
• Assign after hours trauma call to keep 24-hour coverage for all emergency patients.
• Maintain records/statistics as directed by the Quality Assurance program.
• Review schedules for patients to ensure customer satisfaction and respond to their expectations and needs.
• Prepare and implement plan for employee training to ensure an adequate trained staff for all areas under this position's responsibility.
• Order and maintain supplies for department to assure continuity in patient care.
• Develop and maintain an environment conducive to employee associate satisfaction.
• Prepare orientation programs for new employees and determine competence to work independently.
• Prepare plans for employee training to assure adequate man hours of trained staff in appropriate areas.
