Job summary

124 Advocate Condell Medical Center in Wheeling, IL is seeking an experienced MRI supervisor to lead a 40-hour work week in a fast-paced radiology department. The role combines staff oversight, scheduling, and quality assurance to ensure safe, efficient imaging services.

Responsibilities include coordinating exams across MRI, maintaining equipment and records, and guiding staff development while ensuring patient care standards and compliance with safety policies.

Qualifications

• 3-4 years MRI tech experience
• 2-3 years supervisory experience preferred
• Graduate of approved Radiologic Technology program
• Knowledge of MRI cross-sectional anatomy and physics
• Associates Degree in Health Science; familiar with MR equipment

Responsibilities

• Monitor technical competence of staff.
• Respond to patient/physician complaints quickly.
• Schedule technical staff and approve vacations; adjust for call-offs.
• Maintain records and QA data for the department.
• Provide for patient comfort and safety during procedures.
• Ensure after-hours MRI coverage and call rotations.
• Coordinate exams between MRI and other departments.
• Review and implement safety and quality practices.
