Job summary

Piedmont Cartersville is seeking an experienced Lead MRI Technologist to oversee daily operations and provide clinical leadership in our MRI area. You will ensure high-quality imaging, maintain accreditation standards, and support staff across shifts.

This role emphasizes patient care (70%) and supervision (30%), with responsibilities spanning workflow coordination, image file management in PACS, equipment operation, training, and cost containment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of AMA approved Radiologic Technology or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program.
• 3 years of technical experience and leadership of personnel required.
• MRI ARRT certification with MRI specialization and BCLS required on hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient flow and guide staff technologists.
• Provide patient care.
• Produce high-quality images.
• Manage image files in PACS.
• Direct daily departmental operations.
• Oversee orientation and continuing education for employees.
• Direct and manages staffing schedules and annual evaluations.
• Manage supplies and contain costs.
• Promote customer service excellence.
• Perform accreditation duties required by the American College of Radiology.
• Position and operate MRI equipment for all age groups as requested.
