Job summary

Intermountain Health seeks an Imaging Technologist to operate imaging equipment and produce high-quality diagnostic images under radiologist supervision. The role requires accurate medical record updates and precise input of physician orders, with emphasis on patient safety and radiation protection.

You will educate patients on procedures and safety, position patients for optimal views, and manage contrast administration as needed, in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or diploma from a two-year college or technical school, or minimum 6 months related experience.
• ARRT R certification; additional modality certification within 18 months of hire; BLS.
• Current ARRT certification and Montana licensure eligibility.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret scientific/technical journals.

Responsibilities

• Access and update patient records in the hospital EMR system.
• Input physician orders into patient records accurately.
• Explain imaging procedures and safety to patients to reduce anxiety.
• Position patients and operate imaging equipment per Radiologist guidance.
• Administer contrast media as directed by Radiologist/Pharmacy.
