Job summary

Kaiser Permanente is seeking an MRI technologist to produce diagnostic MR images and operate MRI equipment in a clinical setting. You will perform MR imaging protocols, ensure patient safety, and support radiologists with image quality and workflow.

Responsibilities include patient preparation, protocol selection, image processing, and archiving to PACS. Requires ARRT MRI certification, California venipuncture, BLS, and at least two years of radiologic experience with MRI.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of a radiologic technology or MRI technology program.
• ARMR MRI or ARRT MRI technologist certification required.
• Venipuncture certification (California) required.
• Basic Life Support (American Heart Association) required.

Responsibilities

• Performs MR imaging studies according to imaging protocols.
• Explains procedures to patients and addresses concerns to obtain cooperation.
• Maintains patient and staff safety and adheres to department policies.
• Archives images to PACS and documents clinical activities.
• Provides training and orientation to new MRI technologists and assists colleagues.
