Mohawk Valley Health System in Utica, NY, is seeking an Imaging Services Support role in the MRI department. Under the direction of the Supervisor, you will perform a variety of operational and technical duties, operate the darkroom area, assist technologists, receive visitors and patients, and obtain orders from the hospital computer.

You will log procedures, transport patients to and from imaging, and help maintain department equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsabilités

• Files and charts medical reports and related material.
• Assigns the proper patient consent form, if an injectable study is to be performed.
• Assists in locating patient files.
• Transports patients to and from the Imaging Department
• Assists Imaging Services personnel by performing a variety of duties for patients and certain heavy duties in the care of the physically or mentally handicapped.
• Helps maintain the equipment and assists in cleaning the dept. except for those duties pertaining to Environmental Service.
• Maintain record keeping and filing system according to department policy.
• Delivers radiographs to radiologists or physicians and retrieves them when appropriate.
