Advocate Health in Milwaukee is seeking a part-time MRI technician to support magnet imaging and basic procedures. You will help prepare patients, manage history and orders, and assist with contrast under a Radiologist's guidance.

The role requires enrollment in a Radiologic Technology program and BLS within six months. No prior experience is required, with varied shifts and routine safety responsibilities in a hospital setting.

Qualificações

• Enrollment in an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 6 months unless exempt.
• No prior experience required.

Responsabilidades

• Support MRI technologists operating MR equipment for basic and intermediate imaging.
• Obtain medical history, ensure exam accuracy, and prepare/administer contrast under the Radiologist.
• Position patient, adjust scanning factors, and ensure magnet safety per regulatory guidance.
• Post-process images and label with patient data and scan location under supervision.
• Enter study information and document billing codes in RIS under supervision.
• Identify equipment issues and perform QA tests under a licensed technologist.
• Assist with patient positioning and lifting, using proper technique as needed.
• Provide age-appropriate care per department policies and patient age needs.
