Job summary

Colwyn Group is seeking a full-time Radiologic Technologist in Plantation, FL. The role covers MRI and CT examinations, ensuring safe, efficient patient experiences and adherence to imaging protocols.

Active ARRT radiography certification with MR and CT preferred, along with Florida DOH Radiologic Technologist certification and BLS. Prior independent MRI/CT work is desirable, with strong patient care and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Current ARRT (R) certification in Radiography.
• Current post-primary ARRT (MR) and ARRT (CT) certifications.
• Current Florida Department of Health Radiologic Technologist certification.
• Current BLS certification.
• Experience performing MRI and CT exams independently.
• Knowledge of MRI screening and safety, radiation protection, contrast administration and emergency procedures.
• Strong patient-care, communication, organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work full-time and meet the physical demands of the role.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI and CT examinations according to physician orders and imaging protocols.
• Verify patient identity, clinical history and exam requirements.
• Complete MRI safety screenings and identify contraindications.
• Position patients accurately and select imaging techniques.
• Administer contrast media per orders and facility protocols.
• Monitor patients before, during and after exams and respond to adverse reactions.
• Maintain documentation and complete exams in the imaging system.
• Adhere to MRI safety, radiation safety, infection control, HIPAA and QA standards.
• Perform routine equipment checks and report concerns.
• Maintain exam rooms, supplies and emergency equipment.
• Communicate professionally with patients, providers, radiologists and team members.
• Assist with workflow and other imaging-related duties as needed.
