Job summary

Aurora Sinai Medical Center is seeking an MRI Lead to oversee imaging quality, safety, and department operations. The successful candidate will supervise technologists, schedule staffing, and ensure maintenance and compliant workflows for MRI and CT procedures.

Minimum 3–5 years as an MRI Technologist with supervisory experience is preferred. Strong positioning knowledge, ARRT registry, IDNS license, and CPR are required to uphold patient care standards.

Qualifications

• Active IDNS License is required for the role.
• Minimum 3–5 years of full-time MRI technologist experience.
• Past supervisory experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates MRI images and recommends technique/positioning improvements.
• Monitors equipment, troubleshoots, and coordinates maintenance as needed.
• Enforces MRI safety and coordinates staffing and quality standards.
• Prepares technologist work schedules including weekends and holidays.
• Manages staffing allocations during shortages and overtime approvals.
• Verifies Time and Attendance records for accuracy.
• Oversees training and evaluates new employees for competency.
• Assumes staff technologist duties as needed per manager.
• Counsels and reviews staff with supervisor approval.
• Coordinates patient flow to minimize wait times.
• Ensures proper charging of contrast media daily.
• Acts as liaison among staff, radiologists, and departments.
• Develops and maintains a QA plan with Radiology Manager.
