SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a full-time TH Medical Radiographer 1 / MRI-CT-IR Technologist for nights in the Department of Radiology. The role encompasses MRI, CT, and IR procedures, with emphasis on patient safety, accurate imaging, and adherence to RIS/PACS workflows.

Qualified candidates hold NYS radiologic technologist licensure, AART certification, and BCLS; continuing education is required. The ideal applicant has 2+ years in MRI/CT/IR and hospital experience.

Qualifications

• NYS Licensed radiological technologist.
• AART Certification.
• Current BCLS certification.
• Maintain all required CE's for continued certification.

Responsabilités

• Demonstrates the ability to perform MRI, CT, or IR procedures with established protocols with minimal supervision.
• Ensure patient care and accurate identification, correct procedure, and correct laterality.
• Coordinate patient schedules to complete procedures promptly.
• Maintain patient safety and clean, organized imaging areas (MRI/CT/IR).
• Perform QA on MRI, CT, or IR equipment and document results.
• Assist with RIS/PACS workflow and job-related documentation.

Connaissances

2+ years MRI/CT/IR experience

Hospital imaging experience

ARRT MRI/CT/IR certified

Formation

NYS Licensed radiological technologist

AART Certification

Current BCLS certification

CE credits for continued certification
