Job summary

Suny Downstate Health Sciences University in New York, NY seeks an hourly/per diem Radiology Technologist (CT, MRI, or IR) / TH Medical Radiographer 1 (Evenings) to perform imaging procedures per protocol with minimal supervision. You will ensure accurate patient identification, correct procedure, and proper laterality, while maintaining patient safety in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

ARRT certification in X-ray is required.
Current BCLS certification required.
Maintain CE credits for continued certification.

Responsibilities

Perform MRI, CT, or IR procedures per established protocols with minimal supervision.
Provide patient care while maintaining accurate identification, procedure, and laterality.
Coordinate patient schedules to ensure timely completion of procedures.
Maintain ALARA practices and keep equipment and area clean and safe.
QA daily/weekly/monthly on MRI, CT, or IR equipment and document results.
Inform supervisor of equipment offline issues and log service tickets.
Attend department-sponsored in-services related to MRI, CT, IR, and operations.
