Job summary

Providence Swedish is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform MRI examinations with sound judgment and patient-focused care in a busy imaging department. The incumbent may be asked to function as a CT technologist, earning the MRI rate when CT work is required.

This role emphasizes safety, quality of imaging, and teamwork within the radiology group. Ideal candidates will hold a formal radiologic technology program credential, Washington licensure, and ARRT MRI or equivalent MRI certification,

Qualifications

• Formal radiologic technology training program completed.
• Upon hire: Washington Radiologic Technologist license.
• Upon hire: BLS certification from American Heart Association.
• Upon hire: ARRT radiography credential.
• Within 1 year: ARRT MRI credential or ARRT MRI technologist certification.
• Within 1 year: national MRI technologist credential (e.g., ARMRIT).
• Minimum 2 years as radiologic technologist with MRI experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of MRI examinations with independent judgment.
• Work as CT technologist when needed and be paid MRI rate for CT work.
• Maintain safety, quality, and patient care in MRI department.
• Collaborate with radiology team to ensure efficient workflow.
