Axle is seeking a MRI Catheterization Technologist to join the NHLBI team in Bethesda, MD, supporting clinicians and researchers in acquiring data for clinical protocols. You will perform real-time MRI guidance during catheterization and cardiovascular MRI exams, working with physicians, nurses, and imaging staff to advance study goals.

Responsibilities include patient preparation, post-processing of MR images, equipment upkeep, and staff training while upholding MR safety standards.

Qualifications

• MR safety standards and protocols are mandatory.
• Experience with cardiovascular MRI and interventional imaging is preferred.
• ARRT certification and MR registration are required or must be obtained within the first year.

Responsibilities

• Supports planning and execution of research experiments within the NHLBI lab program.
• Adheres to MR safety standards and protocols in the MR environment.
• Performs cardiovascular MRI examinations.
• Performs interactive real-time scanning to guide MRI catheterization and measure flow.
• Prepares patients for diagnostic cardiac MRI examinations and MRI catheterization.
• Performs post-processing of MR images to measure heart function and flow.
• Collaborates with clinicians, nurses, imaging scientists and staff across teams.
• Maintains and trains staff on scientific instrumentation and data acquisition.
