Golden State Orthopedics & Spine in Walnut Creek, CA is seeking a Full Time MRI Authorization Coordinator to join our team. You will process orders, schedule follow-ups, and act as a liaison between physicians, patients, insurers, and imaging facilities to ensure timely approvals.

Ideal candidates have familiarity with medical terminology, insurance authorizations, EMR/EHR software (NextGen preferred), and a high school diploma. We offer a collaborative environment and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with medical terminology required.
• Experience with authorizations or medical insurances preferred.
• Knowledge of medical scheduling and EMR/EHR software, NextGen preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Process diagnostic test and procedure orders from Physicians and PAs.
• Schedule follow-up appointments and counsel patients about financial responsibility.
• Act as liaison between physician, patient, insurance carrier, and facility.
• Obtain pre-certification/pre-authorization from insurers prior to procedures and tests, via online application or by phone.
• Additional duties as assigned.

About the Role

• We are looking for a Full Time MRI Authorization Coordinator to join our team

What You’ll Do

• Processing diagnostic test and procedure orders from Physicians and PAs
• Scheduling follow-up appointments and counseling patients about their financial responsibility
• Acting as a liaison between physician, patient, insurance carrier, and facility
• Obtaining pre-certification/pre-authorization from insurance companies prior for each procedure and test, using an online application or by contacting insurer on the telephone
• Additional duties as assigned

• Familiar with medical terminology
