Job summary

Burrtec is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Helper for the Burbank Recycling/Material Recovery Facility location. The role involves inspecting, cleaning, maintaining, and repairing MRF equipment including balers, conveyors, and magnets, with emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Candidates should have at least one year of relevant experience and may have vocational training in equipment maintenance. The job includes using hand tools, power tools, welding, and documenting work performed on Fleetmate

Qualifications

• One (1) year of equipment maintenance and repair experience required.
• Vocational school or training in equipment maintenance and repair preferred.
• Experience using hand and small power tools/equipment.

Responsibilities

• Follow safe work practices and all safety rules.
• Assist Equipment Maintenance team and activities.
• Inspect, clean, maintain, and repair MRF equipment (balers, conveyors, screens, magnets).
• Repair and maintain facility building and grounds.
• Use hand tools and portable power tools as needed.
• Operate welder, torch, and grinder as required.
• Support the team and handle smaller tasks independently.
• Document work performed on Fleetmate work orders.
• Perform other repairs and duties as assigned.
