Job summary

RAYUS Radiology is seeking an MRI Technologist to join our team in Florida. The role involves operating MRI scanners to produce diagnostic images with a patient-centered approach and strong customer service. Part-time position performing MRI procedures with supervision as needed.

Shifts are Thursday and Friday 8:00am–9:00pm and Saturday 8:00am–8:00pm. Certified radiologic technologists with AMA radiography training and CPR are preferred; ARRT/ARMRIT registration and state licensure as applicable

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an AMA approved school of radiography.
• ARRT or ARMRIT registered technologist, current and in good standing.
• Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable.
• Current CPR certification.
• Must have sufficient training and experience to competently perform MRI procedures independently.
• Certification in imaging specialty.

Responsibilities

• Screens patient before exam using two identifiers for accuracy.
• Explain and prepare patients for MRI procedures and position them appropriately.
• Perform routine and advanced MRI procedures with minimal supervision while engaging with patients.
• Adjust MRI scan parameters as needed.
• Follow physicians' orders, adhere to safety regulations, and maintain RIS records.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and sanitize equipment after use.
• Maintain MRI equipment and ensure accreditation requirements are met.
• Support MRI department with protocol manuals and software upgrades.

RAYUS Radiology is looking for an MRI Technologistto join our team. As a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) technologist, you will be responsible for the operation of assigned scanner(s) to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. Taking a patient centered approach, you will provide MRI services within professional standards and with excellent customer service.

This is a part-time position working 37 hours per week. Shifts areThursday and Friday from 8:00am-9:00pm and Saturday from 8:00am-8:00pm.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure the correct patient and procedure
• Explains and prepares patients for MRI procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure, positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately scanned
• Performs routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeated scanned, while providing patient support by talking to patients throughout procedure
• Adjusts MRI scan parameters correctly and as needed
• Follows physicians' orders precisely, conforms to safety regulations, and accurately maintains patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS)
• Maintains an orderly and clean work area including sanitized equipment promoting good safety habits for patients and team members
• Maintains equipment in good working order; cleans and disinfects equipment after each use
• Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements

(5%) MRI Department Support

• Assists with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades
• Monitors medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessary
• Assists in the training of new team members, providing resource and technical expertise, as applicable

Requirements

Required:

• High School diploma, or equivalent
• Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography
• ARRT or ARMRIT registered technologist, current and in good standing, depending on State regulations and business need
• Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable
• Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
• Must have sufficient training and experience to competently perform MRI procedures independently
• Certification in imaging specialty
