This part-time role involves 10 hours per week, with Wednesday shifts from 5:00am to 2:30pm. Florida applicants should have AMA radiography education and ARRT/ARMRIT registration, plus CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of AMA approved radiography program.
• ARRT or ARMRIT registered, in good standing.
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist in applicable state, if required.

Responsibilities

• Screen patients for contraindications using two identifiers.
• Explain MRI procedures and position patients for imaging.
• Perform routine and advanced MRI scans with minimal supervision.
• Adjust scan parameters and ensure safety compliance.
• Follow orders, maintain RIS patient records, and keep a clean work area.
• Maintain MRI equipment and cleanliness post-use.
• Support ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements.

RAYUS Radiology is looking for an MRI Technologist to join our team. We are challenging the status quo by shining light on radiology and making it a critical first step in diagnosis and proper treatment. Come join us and shine brighter together! As a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) technologist, you will be responsible for the operation of assigned scanner(s) to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. Taking a patient centered approach, you will provide MRI services within professional standards and with excellent customer service.
This is a part-time (less than 20) position working 10 hours per week; shifts are Wednesdays, 5:00am - 2:30pm.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure the correct patient and procedure
• Explains and prepares patients for MRI procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure, positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately scanned
• Performs routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeated scanned, while providing patient support by talking to patients throughout procedure
• Adjusts MRI scan parameters correctly and as needed
• Follows physicians' orders precisely, conforms to safety regulations, and accurately maintains patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS)
• Maintains an orderly and clean work area including sanitized equipment promoting good safety habits for patients and team members
• Maintains equipment in good working order; cleans and disinfects equipment after each use
• Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements

(5%) MRI Department Support

• Assists with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades
• Monitors medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessary
• Assists in the training of new team members, providing resource and technical expertise, as applicable

(5%) Completes other tasks as assigned

Requirements

Required:

• High School diploma, or equivalent
• Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography
• ARRT or ARMRIT registered technologist, current and in good standing, depending on State regulations and business need
• Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable
• Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
• Must have sufficient training and experience to competently perform MRI procedures independently
• Certification in imaging specialty
