The Data Governance intern will gain firsthand experience with how data is managed, protected, and leveraged to drive business decisions.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Data Quality Management - Ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of data throughout its lifecycle.
• Data Security and Compliance - Implementing measures to protect data from unauthorized access and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
• Data Stewardship - Overseeing the proper management and use of data, including defining data policies and standards.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration - Working with various departments to align data governance initiatives with organizational goals.
• Monitoring and Reporting - Regularly reviewing data governance practices and reporting on their effectiveness.

Basic Qualifications

• Be enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university or have graduated within one year of start date (June 2025).
• Majoring in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience with data analysis.
• Enthusiasm for learning new technologies and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Candidates must have authorization to work permanently in the US without the need for sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of data governance principles, data management, and related practices.
• Familiarity with data privacy regulations and compliance standards.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly and concisely.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
