Job summary

TE Connectivity is seeking a Quality Inspector to support incoming material inspections, pre‑shipment checks, and audit activities at our Minnesota facility. The role supports the Quality Engineer on first article inspections and nonconformity handling, ensuring data accuracy and compliant documentation across quality processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and two years of related work experience.
• Mathematical knowledge including tolerances, rounding, averages, minimums and maximums, significant digits, fractions, and basic statistics.
• Ability to use a microscope.
• Ability to use various measuring tools including calipers, micrometers, gages, and vision systems.
• Ability to read and interpret policies, procedures, drawings and other position-related materials.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to adapt to updated priorities.

Responsibilities

Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Quality Control and Reliability Teams ensure products and/or product components comply with specifications and quality standards. They test and inspect products against performance and integrity criteria to ensure product quality and reliability and to determine suitability for product release.

Job Requirements

• Inspect incoming materials.
• Inspect product prior to shipment as required.
• Verify audited product.

• Initiate nonconformance reports (NCs) and participate in product disposition for nonconforming material.
• Assist the Quality Engineer (QE) with first article inspections and miscellaneous projects.
• Resolve job‑related issues promptly in a manner that promotes harmony and aligns with the company’s objectives and goals.
• Work with cross‑functional teams to improve the business and perform other duties as needed.
• Verify completion and accuracy of quality and lot history documentation.
• Understand and follow site policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

What Your Background Should Look Like

• High school diploma and two years of related work experience.

• Ability to use various measuring tools, including but not limited to functional gages, micrometers, rules, calipers, tool scopes, and vision systems.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as policies, procedures, drawings, and other materials related to the position.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing to exchange information required to complete essential duties and responsibilities.
• Ability to adapt to updated priorities.
• Ability to interpret dimensional requirements on drawings and specifications.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
• Computer skills: Microsoft Word - Microsoft Excel - Enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and other databases, including SAP and SmartSolve.

Candidates who do not meet the experience requirement may be considered for an Inspector I position. Prior related experience is not required for this level; however, candidates should demonstrate basic math and computer skills, effective communication, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn. Comprehensive on‑the‑job training will be provided. The Inspector I role performs similar duties, with responsibilities and compensation commensurate with the position level.

Compensation

• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $38,700 – $58,100 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
