Job summary

Nemak Augusta plant is seeking a production planner responsible for planning and coordinating production requirements to meet customer demand, support JIT operations, and ensure on-time delivery. You will manage production schedules, align with purchasing and logistics, and maintain SAP master data to ensure accurate planning and execution.

This role requires experience with SAP/ERP and a track record of coordinating cross-functional teams to stabilize production flow and improve delivery

Qualifications

• Experience with SAP or ERP planning and master data.
• Experience with customer schedules, inventory planning and shortage coordination.

Responsibilities

• Review customer demand, schedules and JIT call-offs to create and maintain accurate production plans.
• Convert customer requirements into executable production plans and coordinate with production, logistics, and warehouse teams.
• Monitor daily production plan attainment and adjust schedules as needed based on demand changes.
• Maintain planning-related master data in SAP, including planning parameters and production versions.
• Ensure accuracy of system data for MRP, scheduling, inventory planning, and JIT execution.
• Support material availability reviews and coordinate with purchasing, logistics, and production.
• Track and report planning and logistics KPIs such as schedule adherence and delivery performance.
• Analyze demand changes and system issues, raising risks impacting delivery or inventory.
• Support container and packaging planning alignment for JIT customer requirements.

Job description

Responsible for planning and coordinating production requirements to support customer demand, operational capacity, and on-time delivery for JIT operations. The role manages production schedules, reviews customer requirements, supports material and capacity alignment, maintains planning-related master data in SAP, and ensure accurate system settings and transaction discipline to support stable production flow, inventory accuracy, and customer service performance. Production Order reconciliation for month end closing.

• Review customer demand, schedules and JIT call-offs to create and maintain accurate production plans aligned with customer requirements and plant capacity.
• Convert customer requirements into executable production plans and coordinate schedule priorities with production, logistics, and warehouse teams
• Monitor daily production plan attainment and adjust schedules as needed based on demand changes, shortages, downtime, or operational constraints.
• Maintain planning-related master data in SAP, including planning parameters, material settings, production versions, BOM-related planning inputs, and other system data required for accurate planning execution.
• Ensure accuracy and consistency of system data used for MRP, scheduling, inventory planning, and JIT execution.
• Support material availability reviews and coordinate with purchasing, logistics, and production to reduce risk of shortages or delivery disruptions.
• Track and report planning and logistics KPIs, including schedule adherence, inventory performance, customer delivery performance, and other operational metrics.
• Analyze demand changes, planning deviations, and system issues, and raise risks that may impact customer delivery, production stability, or inventory accuracy.
• Support container and packaging planning alignment as needed to ensure production and shipment readiness for JIT customer requirements
• Follow standard work, customer requirements, and escalation procedures to support stable planning processes, accurate master data, and reliable customer delivery performance.
