Job summary

Smith Gardens, Inc. is looking for a Moving Supervisor in Watsonville, California, to assist in the daily operations of the moving department. Job description

Pacific Plug & Liner was founded in October 1999 and is located on the beautiful California Central Coast with a climate ideal for plant and flower production. We have approximately 290,000 sq. ft. dedicated to growing young plants. Pacific Plug & Liner features a state-of-the-art production facility, ensuring consistent and superior quality.

Assist and support Moving Supervisor leading and running the daily operation of the moving department.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Lead and work alongside crews to ensure proper execution of moving
• Review daily workload with Moving Supervisor and provide feedback and
• Provide new team members training and ongoing performance evaluation.
• Identify team member skills and propose training and/or development for new and current employees.
• Move flats of plants between greenhouses as needed to maximize space and growing efficiencies.
• Assist with maintaining moving standards and work closely with crews to achieve
• Review team member attendance records for approval by department manager
• Ensure the dump process is followed and completed on time weekly.
• Regular communication with growing team to maximize greenhouse and table utilization

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Able to use air valves and move heavy tables on rails.
• Be able to be certified to operate forklift.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Work long hours as needed, including weekends and holidays
• Continuously Walk, stand, bend, kneel (and remain working below knee level), as well as stretch overhead and side-to-side for extended periods of time.
• Constantly jump over table rails and knee level heating pipes
• Work indoors and outdoors, in seasonal temperatures and conditions.
• Lift up to fifty pounds in an environment that is often hot.
• With assistance- lift empty or full tables of product to align back on to rails

PAY RANGE

$20.00 - $22.00
