Canteen is hiring a full-time MOVING COORDINATOR in Austin, TX to manage office asset moves across multiple locations. The role requires driving, lifting, and coordinating moves with various teams. Monday–Friday schedule with details discussed at interview.

Responsibilities include logging move requests, coordinating timing, performing minor moves, and ensuring safe handling of furniture and equipment. Proficiency with MS Office and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook, and PDF viewers/editors.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Able to lift 50 pounds and push/pull 100 pounds.
  • Able to read architectural floor plans or construction drawings.
  • Able to walk, stand, and reach with hands and arms.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate move activities for company office assets across locations.
  • Log new move requests in the move tracking spreadsheet.
  • Coordinate and conduct minor moves of boxes, furniture, and file cabinets.
  • Coordinate move timing with requestor.
  • Inspect furniture and equipment to determine storage or disposal needs.
  • Maintain organized warehouse and shelved spaces; manage materials flow.
  • Create work orders and consolidate tasks into a single request.
  • Assist with installation/removal of items using tools and equipment.
  • Coordinate delivery of furniture with vendors and the loading dock.
  • Drive a truck to meet move needs and load/unload materials.

Schedule

Full time schedule. Monday through Friday, hours may vary. Further details upon interview.

Requirement

Previous equipment relocations, installations, and removals across multiple customer locations experience required.

Pay Range

$20.00 per hour to $21.75 per hour. *Internal Employee Referral Bonus Available

Job Summary

Coordinates move activities for company office assets across multiple locations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Coordinates move activities for company office assets across locations.
  • Logs new move requests in the move tracking spreadsheet.
  • Coordinates and conducts minor moves of boxes, furniture, and file cabinets with assistance as needed.
  • Coordinates move timing with requestor.
  • Conducts condition assessment of furniture and movable equipment; assesses items based upon the criteria provided to determine whether to relocate to storage or to deliver to the appropriate waste stream.
  • Maintains organization of the warehouse and shelled spaces; manages incoming and outgoing materials to maintain order within the warehouse.
  • Creates work orders needed to support moves; works with requester to consolidate tasks into a single work request.
  • Installs and removes items to support moves; uses hand and power tools for installation. Uses minor tools as needed to disassemble furniture and equipment. Uses equipment for moving including hand trucks, furniture dollies, and carts.
  • Coordinates the receiving of items to support moves; works with vendors, the loading dock, and other move team members to coordinate the delivery of furniture for moves.
  • Drives a truck to meet scheduled and on demand move needs.
  • Loads and unloads trucks to move furniture, equipment, supplies, and other materials as directed.
  • Maintains work area and equipment in a safe, clean and orderly fashion.
  • Follows standard and prescribed safety regulations; notifies supervisor of any problems or delays in projects.
  • Supports members of the move team.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and .pdf viewer/editors.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and push/pull a minimum of 100 pounds.
  • Ability to use a tape measure and understand and calculate dimensions.
  • Ability to read and understand architectural floor plans or construction drawings.
  • Ability to walk, stand, and reach with hands and arms.
