The Junkluggers of Nashville is hiring for a front-line Lugger role. You will be in a fast-paced field environment, delivering excellent customer service while supporting sustainable practices by recycling or donating items.

You will move items, assist customers, and work as part of a tight-knit team. This role emphasizes physical effort, safety, reliable schedules, and a customer-centric approach to helping households and local businesses.

The amount of household and commercial waste that ends up in landfills on a daily basis is astronomical. We believe that a lot of this is avoidable, and with just a little attention to detail — and a lot of love for our planet, we can help reverse this growing problem.

At first glance, this role might *seem* like it's just about removing items from a home or business. THIS IS NOT THAT. In order to be a successful Lugger, you will need to be a people-person - ready to put a smile on our customers' faces by providing exceptional customer service. On any given day, you will be helping people in our community who are downsizing, dealing with the loss of a loved one, feeling overwhelmed to part with sentimental items they no longer need, and so much more. You will need to be empathetic to EVERY customer, EVERY time.

You must also be physically fit and able to lift substantial weight. Added bonus if you have experience driving a small truck and moving furniture / heavy items.

You like working in the field and from the truck all day; this is NOT an office position (although there are some basic administrative responsibilities).

• Remove items from homes and businesses, which may require some bagging, heavy lifting, and some demolition work (all necessary equipment provided)

WHEN YOU WILL WORK:

• Saturdays, arriving at 730a, and work until the last appointment is completed

• Customer schedule is open Sat 8am-5pm.


• Opportunities to work during the week, if you are available and the schedule supports it.
  

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

• Be reliable and show up for your scheduled shifts!


• Own a working smartphone


• Pass background check and drug screening


• Repeatedly lift 50-100 pounds


• Provide safety toe footwear and black work pants/shorts (uniform shirts, jacket, hat, and safety gear provided!)

DRIVING REQUIREMENTS:

• For insurance purposes only, you must be a minimum of 24 years old to drive our trucks


• Valid Driver's License is a MUST!


• Good driving record, no moving violations in last 3 years


• CDL NOT Required
