Position Overview

The Department of Neurology at Hackensack University Medical Center (HUMC) seeks a full‑time BE/BC Movement Disorder Neurologist. The role will involve outpatient care, limited inpatient service (≤4 weeks per year), and collaboration within a team of adult and pediatric movement disorder neurologists and functional neurosurgeons. The department supports interprofessional programs and a patient‑centered, value‑based approach.

Qualifications

• Board‑eligible or board‑certified neurologist with a residency in Neurology and a fellowship in Movement Disorders.
• Experience or interest in outcomes research, clinical trials, translational research, and teaching of medical and graduate students and residents.
• Commitment to an interprofessional, patient‑centered approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient neurology services for movement disorder patients.
• Participate in inpatient care no more than 4 weeks annually.
• Collaborate with neurologists, neurosurgeons, psychologists, and rehabilitation therapists on care plans.
• Engage in clinical trials, research projects, and educational activities.

Compensation and Benefits

The minimum base salary is $215,462. Compensation is determined at the time of offer and may vary based on specialization, market data, experience, leadership, education, productivity, skills, geographic location, internal equity, and available budget or grant funding.
