Free People in Los Angeles, CA is seeking an energetic Associate Community Manager to bring our community strategy to life across events, ambassador programming, and activations.

You’ll partner with the Associate Director of Community + Special Events, turning ideas into experiences that deepen relationships with our community, both in person and beyond.

This role combines hands‑on event work with data‑driven programming to grow reach and engagement while representing the brand on the ground.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in community, events, experiential marketing, partnerships, hospitality, fitness/wellness, or a related field.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
• Naturally outgoing, warm, and relationship‑oriented.
• Comfortable interacting with a wide range of people and building authentic relationships.
• Able to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.
• Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends for community events.
• A genuine interest in movement, wellness, culture, and building community.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and executing a strategic community programming calendar (run days, walk clubs, ambassador activations, events).
• Own the community programming budget including forecasting, allocation, vendor management, and spend tracking.
• Coordinate event logistics, vendors, supplies, timelines, and staffing across teams.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align brand priorities with community programming.
• Be hands‑on at events ensuring experiences are on‑brand and elevated.
• Analyze participation and engagement data to drive improvements and growth.
• Identify opportunities to expand reach using data and trends to inform investments.
• Continuously refine the ambassador program and community strategy.
