Caring Transitions of Elgin is seeking a dependable Move Specialist to join our compassionate team. You will assist older adults by providing professional moving services, packing, loading, transporting, unloading, and setting up belongings with care and respect.

Candidates should be reliable, physically capable, organized, and dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service with integrity and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Experience in moving, furniture delivery, warehousing, logistics preferred.
• Physical ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds, and perform physically demanding work.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail."
• Friendly, professional demeanor with good communication skills.
• Flexible, patient, and solution-oriented in changing environments.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Pack, wrap, and prepare household items for safe transportation.
• Safely load and unload furniture and belongings with proper technique.
• Place belongings according to client instructions to create a functional space.
• Transport clients' belongings between residences and communities, maintaining item security.
• Protect property with moving blankets, shrink wrap, floor protection, and other materials.
• Provide courteous, compassionate, professional service to clients and families.
• Remain calm and adaptable when challenges arise, finding safe solutions.
• Work efficiently with attention to detail to ensure items are delivered to the correct location.
• Demonstrate honesty, dependability, and respect while handling belongings in clients' homes.
• Collaborate with Transition Specialists and Move Specialists for a seamless move.
