Job description

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: We are seeking a punctual, detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is excited to provide guests with an experience that exceeds their expectations, creating guests for life. This individual will join our growing maintenance team to ensure the electrical needs of Blue Mountain Resort are met.

Requirements
  • Previous experience as an electrician or in a similar role is necessary.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, especially when working under pressure or in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions.
  • Understanding of technical drawings.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Availability to be on call.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
What You Can Expect
  • Conduct regular inspections of all electrical systems (indoor and outdoor) and equipment to identify issues or hazards. Perform routine maintenance and repairs to ensure safety and performance.
  • Create repair strategies and plans for items needing service.
  • Respond promptly to electrical emergencies, troubleshoot issues, diagnose problems, and implement solutions to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain and repair electrical components of snow-making equipment, including pumps, compressors, and control panels, and troubleshoot automated systems when needed.
  • Assist in conducting annual training programs for new electricians and staff from other departments.
  • Maintain records of repairs and inventory.
  • Forecast and prepare cost estimates for supplies and systems as needed.
  • Mentor and guide junior staff as directed by the supervisor.
  • Attend staff meetings as required.
