Summit County Youth and Family Services is seeking a passionate Bilingual Program Coordinator for the Mountain Mentors Program. Qualifications

Summit County Youth and Family Services is looking for a full time (40 hours per week) Coordinator for the Mountain Mentors Program who is passionate about working with youth, interested in creating positive community impact, and eager to join a fun and energetic work environment with Youth and Family Services. Summit County Mountain Mentors is a well-established community-based mentoring program that matches caring adult volunteers with youth ages 8 to 16. Mountain Mentors’ mission is to positively influence the youth of Summit County to lead healthy lifestyles through a consistent one-to-one relationship with an adult.

Examples of Duties
  • Engage youth and their families in the program
  • Facilitate and monitor mentor/mentee matches
  • Plan and participate in group activities indoors and outdoors with youth, mentors, and families
  • Promote the Mountain Mentors program county-wide
  • Recruit, interview, and train volunteer mentors
  • Collaborate with other local organizations
  • Facilitate programming at The Teen Center
  • Communicate with program participants
  • Assist with other Youth & Family program activities as needed

Typical Qualifications
  • Three years of experience working with youth
  • Degree (Associate, BA, or BS) in related field (Education, counseling, social work, psychology, nonprofit management, or human development)preferred
  • Ability to speak and write in English and Spanish
  • Valid Colorado Driver’s License at the time of hiring and throughout employment
  • Must be able to pass a background check
