Job summary

Vail Health in Colorado is seeking an Internal Medicine physician with 2+ years experience to join Colorado Mountain Medical. You will provide comprehensive care to adult patients, focus on prevention, diagnosis, and management of a wide range of conditions, and work with a multidisciplinary team in a community-focused system.

Qualifications

• 3 years of directly related experience or residency in related medical specialty.
• Degree from an accredited program (MD or DO).
• Professional licensure - MD or DO required.
• Current Colorado medical license in good standing required.
• DEA certification and board certification or board eligibility in specialty required.

Responsibilities

• Provides and manages direct patient care, including examinations, evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment for adults.
• Prescribes medications, immunizations, and treatment regimens as appropriate.
• Offers health and wellness guidance on diet, activity, and prevention.
• Monitors patient progress and explains procedures and test results.
• Refers patients to specialists and relevant care components as needed.
• May manage daily operations of a medical program or unit.
